With a voice that "captivates and mesmerizes," Ariana Maloney has quickly become a sought-after performer. Known for her "magnetic stage presence" and "lustrous vocal timbre," Ms. Maloney is singing at opera houses and concert venues internationally and within the United States.
Growing up in a family that moved often, Ms. Maloney experienced many countries and cultures. As a result she developed an interest in classical music and opera in her formative years. Her interest quickly grew into a burning passion and at the age of eight Ms. Maloney began studying at top international music conservatories. These experiences developed her musical and artistic skills enabling her to excel in competitive environments.
Ms. Maloney received her Master of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and received her Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Houston’s Moores School of Music.
Her versatile repertoire range includes the roles of Gilda in Verdi's Rigoletto, Manon in Massanet's Manon, Violetta in Verdi's La Traviata, Giulietta in Bellini's I Capuleti ed I Montecchi, Madame Goldentrill in Mozart's Der Schauspieldirektor, Isabelle in Meyerbeer's Robert le Diable, Giulietta in Offenbach's Les Contes d'Hoffmann, Michaela in Bizet's Carmen, Lauretta in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, Ruth Baldwin in John Musto’s Later the Same Evening, Beth March in Mark Adamo’s Little Women, and Bobachina in Musto’s The Inspector.
Ms. Maloney's recent awards include the first ever awarded ‘Daniel Ferro Vocal Award’ from Action for Artists in New York City, First Place Winner of the Heirs of Orpheus International Music Competition in Bulgaria, Semi-Finalist of the Richard Bonynge and Joan Sutherland Foundation in Australia, recipient of the Tony Cuevas Award of the Holt Memorial Scholarship Competition, Hirsch Scholarship Foundation Winner, Kenneth Turvey Music Scholarship First Place Winner, Music Teachers National Association National Finalist, Orpheus Vocal Competition Semi-Finalist, and National Association of Teachers for Singing First Place Winner.
Ms. Maloney is an avid advocate of arts and education. She is the founder of the Ariana Maloney Music Studio which provides outreach to the greater community encouraging a broad range of audiences to lend their ears to opera and classical music.
